Taylor spent his first nine years racing 120 snowmobiles. He was very competitive and enjoyed the sport. Taylor was also involved in hockey at the time. As he got older it was hard to do both. So, he decided to take a break from racing snowmobiles and focused on hockey in the Moorhead Youth Hockey program.
Taylor is now 21 and in his 6th full season of racing in the USXC Racing circuit. Taylor has been working hard and has proved himself to be a force to be recon with in the Semi-pro classes. Being the son of lead Pro driver and team owner Gabe Bunke, Taylor has grown up riding snowmobiles and we are extremely excited to get him on the track and race our highly competitive Polaris Axys 600 XCR. He has backed up on the Bunke Racing #74 Soo Sled since 2015 giving him a noted 2 Soo I-500 victories at a young age. He is currently preparing a Soo sled of his own to compete in the 2018 Soo I-500 under a new number. His heritage and technical understanding of snowmobiles and mechanics should give him a good edge on the competition.
